WHAT STIRS YOUR SOUL?

It’s Time To Review, Appraise and Prepare For What Is Coming…

In mid-April, Jupiter transited into the sign of Pisces. Pisces is the sign of consciousness, spiritual growth and intuition, and Jupiter is the ruler of this sign. Jupiter’s energy is all about positive expansion and has laid the groundwork for transformation to occur.

Also, in late April, Ketu ended its close affliction to Jupiter. Ketu, a node of the Moon which makes us feel somewhat detached and
separate from others, has been hampering our hopefulness and optimism of the future for the past couple of months by afflicting Jupiter.
Jupiter is the planet of justice and expansion and is now free of Ketu’s oppression. This planetary shift will continue bringing more opportunities, hope and upliftment for the next year in all areas of your life.

Now is the time to contemplate what it is that stirs your soul, ignites a passion in your heart. Take the first half of the month and explore possibilities that move you, that feel natural, and feed your mind, body and spirit. The second part of May is a time for review, organization, preparation, and observation, not so much about action. If you haven’t initiated before Mercury goes retrograde on the 10th, let things percolate. Good things are coming…all that’s needed is a bit of patience, clear-headedness, and willingness to refrain from trying to control things that cannot be controlled, which can end up stressing you out in the end.

The Astrology for May 2022

May 1 – Saturn, the planet of structure and stability has just entered the sign of Aquarius, the sign connected to social causes and humanitarian efforts. Saturn is exalted in Aquarius and brings stable, positive growth in all areas of your life. If you have found yourself challenged and spacey over the past few months, you’ll feel more focused, grounded and disciplined with this transit.

May 2-3 –  The Moon enters Taurus bringing practical insights and intuition about things we have been postponing. This short transit can propel you to tackle home and work projects you’ve been putting off. Take advantage of this planetary energy.

May 3 – Akshaya Tritiya – The Day of Lasting Achievements. This is the most auspicious day of the year when the sun and the moon are both exalted. In antiquity, it is said that the very first yagya was started on this day. It is one of the most auspicious days in the Vedic calendar for beginning any yagya or puja (see this months Special Offer below) and for beginning new endeavors.

May 5 – Cinco de Mayo is the celebration of the victory of the battle of Puebla where the Mexican army beat the French forces of Napoleon III against all odds. It is honored in the US and Mexico.

May 8 – Mothers Day is a holiday celebrating mothers around the world. Those that have raised, nurtured and supported children (whether they came through you or not), including your fur babies 😉 The positive feminine energy present on the planet is readily available to love and nurture all your relationships so they continue to grow and thrive.

May 10 – June 3 – Mercury Retrograde in Taurus. When Mercury is Retrograde in Taurus there will be inflexibility and stubbornness. Where Mercury falls in your chart (which is according to your rising sign) will indicate how it will impact your life. Generally, Mercury Retrograde is not a good time to sign contracts, make verbal agreements, or life-altering decisions. DO renegotiate, reassess, organize, and reconsider existing contracts or opportunities during this transit.

May 12 – Sun and Rahu conjunct in Aries. The Sun illuminates your organizational skills, leadership, and health, and Rahu stimulates your desire to initiate, the tendency to obsess, and unexpected events. Aries energy is about new beginnings. This planetary configuration brings about a strong desire to begin something new.

One caveat is to consider that Mercury Retrograde has just begun. Because of this, avoid initiating any new project or health regime at this time even through you might feel a desire to do so. It could cause more problems, complications and frustrations than solutions in hindsight.

May 15-16 – Full Moon Lunar Eclipse, Moon in Scorpio and Sun in Taurus. Moon in Scorpio reveals hidden things and the Sun in Taurus is about inflexibility and stubbornness. This Full Moon is called the Flower Moon. It will reach its peak illumination at 9:15pm PT on May 15, and will be seen in most of North America, all of South America, Western Africa, and parts of Western Europe. During this eclipse time, it is advised to avoid large expenditures. It is a time to let go of things that no longer serve you. This Full Moon may also reveal things that help you heal family issues. Watch for the tendency to resist what is being revealed.

May 17 – Mars moves into Pisces. Mars is the fast-moving planet of action, learning patience, passion, anger and courage. Pisces is about your spiritual growth, consciousness and intuition. This should be good time to heal old hidden patterns of behavior that trigger anger.

May 21 – Sun and Mercury conjunct in Taurus. The sun represents organizational skills and Mercury is about communications. Taurus brings inflexibility and resistance to the mix. This configuration makes Mercury combust, which indicates a time to be careful with your communications and contracts. Continue to resist the tendency to begin something new as the influence of Mercury Retrograde puts a spin on everything and things may not be as simple as they appear.

May 23 – Venus enters Aries. Venus is the planet of love, harmony, peace, beauty, creativity and healing. Aries brings new beginnings and the energy to accomplish tasks. This conjunction will inspire you to open your heart and to be more compassionate and supportive of others.

May 29 – Mars conjunct Jupiter in Pisces. Mars is the fast moving planet of action and passion, and Jupiter is the planet of opportunity, expansion and hopefulness. Pisces brings about spiritual growth, mystical experiences and compassion. This planetary configuration will inspire you to act on opportunities for spiritual growth. Because we are still in Mercury Retrograde, consider being cautious and take time assessing any new spiritual paths, intriguing courses, or opportunities that appear to be appealing. Observe the sensation to jump ahead. Instead, choose to make decisions about starting new ventures after Mercury goes direct early next month. Here’s lies the old adage, “Patience is a virtue.” You may just find your perception changes in June about what really attracts your attention.

May 30 – Memorial Day in the US and New Moon in Taurus. Memorial Day in the US is a day to commemorate all the men and women who have died while serving in the military. This New Moon is a time of letting go and being more flexible. It is also about grounding and practicalness, and your desire that what you create when Mercury goes direct be relevant and timely.

Testimonials:

The past month proved to be one of the most challenging and yet there was still more lightness in our home and a sense of true Grace. were times when I could feel the blessings being laid upon us and there was a definite positive shift in the energy of our home. I have no doubt that Michael's prayers had a lot to with things being handled as gracefully as they were the past few weeks. I am feeling tremendously grateful and would like to continue another month of puja for us.
- Mia Y, Raleigh, NC

Thank you so much for the beautiful Puja Ceremonies. We purchased two months with separate intentions. I am thrilled to report that one of the ceremonies helped contribute to a shrinking of a Stage 4 cancer tumor in a beloved family member. May your work continue to bless us all and may your family and loved ones be deeply blessed.
With deep gratitude,
