Mantra Mondays begins February 1!

Please join us at 11 am this coming Monday as we chant as a community for ourselves, one another, and our planet.

It has always been my path to be of service, to offer what I know that is true for me, and to help ease the suffering of others. For the past few years, I have felt a deep yearning to share something transformative and powerful; to offer you a glimpse of your glorious self, and to illuminate the path for your own personal growth. This past year has been a challenging one for many and the challenges presented in 2020 may not be over yet. Whether we realize it or not, this has given us all an opportunity to grow in new ways.

Michael and I had such an incredible response from our first Vedic Full Moon Altar Activation Ceremony on Zoom on Wednesday (thank you!), and we are now taking this opportunity to offer you Mantra Mondays. In this sacred space that we create together, we will connect with other like-minded people around the world to create community and support. Michael will share a little about the planetary energies at play in our lives through Vedic astrology, and united, we’ll chant mantras to uplift our souls and enhance our spiritual growth.

Chanting has been a part of cultures around the world for eons. When we come together with the intention to unite our hearts and minds as one, magic happens. As a community, we will gather together on Facebook Live and Instagram Live to chant in Sanskrit. We’ll begin our session chanting the Long, Slow Om Namah Shivaya (which I love!) and end with the blessing for peace which I added below. What happens in between will change from week to week.

Sanskrit is an ancient root language where sound and form are the same. Mantras (sound) and yantras (form) hold within them the same vibratory frequency. All mantras emit a sound frequency that vibrates within every cell of your body, that will not only influence you but also the surrounding environment in which it is chanted. There are thousands of mantras and thousands of yantras, each having a specific impact, intention, or aspiration.

All things, whether tangible or felt, evolve from energy and move into form…it is the same with mantras. Everything is energy…everything is vibrating with life and holds within it the possibility of creation and/or positive transformation. Chanting mantras regularly will influence the quality of your life and bring harmony, peace, and blessings to your surroundings.

I’m very excited to offer our beautiful community a place to gather and come together in love and kindness, for magic and manifestation to occur.

Join Michael and me next Monday at 11am PT, either on Facebook Live or Instagram Live – we’re going to attempt to do both simultaneously!

I love this translation of one of our favorite mantras, the Shanti Mantra. We will be chanting this mantra together on Monday as our final chant. Here’s the Sanskrit and its meaning:

Om sahana vavatu

ॐ सह नाववतु

Om, may God protect each other

Saha nau bhunaktu

सह नौ भुनक्तु

May all of us enjoy together

Saha viiryam karavaavahai

सह वीर्यं करवावहै

May we work together with great energy

Tejasvi Navaditamastu

तेजस्वि नावधीतमस्तु

May our studies be enlightening.

Maa vidvissaavahai

मा विद्विषावहै

May there be no hatred between us

Om shanti, shanti, shanti

ॐ शान्तिः शान्तिः शान्तिः

Om peace, peace, peace

The threefold Om shanti shanti shanti is a common means of concluding a mantra, in which each repetition of shanti is thought to have a unique meaning and use.

The first chant of shanti is a way to cleanse and purify the body of suffering. The second is used to relieve the mind of negative feelings and worries, whilst the third touches the soul or spirit of the individual in order to connect them with their higher self.

Looking forward to you joining us Monday at 11! Until then…

May the light within you continue to shine brightly,

Robin
