Mantra Mondays is Live on February 8th...Let's Focus on Love

Mantra Monday continues this upcoming week and we're excited to delve into love and its many facets!

Our first Mantra Monday was considered a hit! Thank you to all that contacted us and encouraged us to continue. Even though we faced some technical difficulties (thanks, Mercury Retrograde), we were still able to connect with and deeply impact those who were able to participate. We would like to think of that as a mission accomplished!

During our 40 minutes Live on Instagram and Facebook, we touched on the Mercury Retrograde as well as chanting for peace, each other, and the world. We also selected a few people who were having health issues and did some chanting specifically for them.

Michael and I weren’t the only ones who felt the powerful energy, as I mentioned, we also received such beautiful messages from you, which truly inspires us to continue to provide this for our community.

Our second Mantra Mondays will be on the topic of Love, Romance, and Deepening our Connection

Mantras for this upcoming Mantra Monday:

Below are the mantras that we will be chanting during our Instagram and Facebook live on February 8th. If you’re not familiar and would like to chant along with us, it’s a great idea to look up the mantras on youtube, this way you can practice and feel comfortable with them by Monday.

OM Tryambakam yajamahe Sugandhim pushti vardhanam Urvarukamiva bandhanan Mrityor mukshiya mamritat

Phonetic spelling:

Om tra-yam-BA-kam ya-jaa-MA-he su-gan-dhim pu-shti-var-dha-NAM ur-vaa-ru-ka-mi-va

ban-DHA-naat mrit-yor-muk-shee-ya maam-RI-taa

ॐ त्र्यम्बकं यजामहे

सुगन्धिं पुष्टिवर्धनम्।

उर्वारुकमिव बन्धनान्

मृत्योर्मुक्षीय मामृतात्

Mahamrityunjaya mantra (also known as the Triyambaka Mantra), is a verse from the Rig Veda and is considered to be the most powerful Shiva Mantra. It bestows longevity, wards off calamities, and prevents untimely death. It also removes fears and heals holistically.

The Mahamrityunjaya mantra is hailed by the sages as the heart of the Vedas. Along with the Gayatri mantra, it holds the highest place among the many mantras used for contemplation and meditation.

This is one of yoga’s most important mantras as it restores health and happiness and brings calmness in the face of death or transitions of any kind. When courage or determination are blocked, it rises up to overcome obstacles. It awakens a healing force that reaches deep into the body and mind.

Om Namo Bhagavate Vāsudevāya – The Mukti Mantra

Phonetic Spelling:

Om Na-mo Bha-ga-vate Va-su-de-vay-a Sanskrit:

ॐ नमो भगवते वासुदेवाय

“Om Namo Bhagavate Vāsudevāya” is a Sanskrit chant of invocation and surrender dedicated to Lord Krishna/Vishnu. In this devotional song, we musically represent this mantra’s ability to lead one to liberation through a series of melodic transformations.

This twelve syllable mantra is known as a Mukti (liberation) mantra and a spiritual formula for attaining freedom. When we chant as a community, we open our hearts and the mind calms, bringing us into the Present Moment where transformation occurs.

What does Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevay mean?

The mukti or liberation mantra is one of the most popular Hindu mantras, central to the tradition of Vaishnavism. Known as the Dwadasakshari or ‘twelve-syllable’ mantra, Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya is dedicated to Lord Vishnu in the incarnation of Krishna.

Found in the ancient Hindu text, Vishnu Purana, Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevay can be translated as “I bow to Lord Vasudeva (Lord Krishna)”. This mantra is recited as much for the benefits of the sacred sound vibrations as for any specific meaning.

This mantra is understood to be a moksha or mukti (liberation) mantra, recited as a way to achieve spiritual freedom from samsara or the recurring cycle of death, reincarnation and unhealed repetitive behaviors (such as disappointment and fear). When our hearts are open and the mind relaxes, we open to Grace and magic happens. With freedom from past hurts and trauma (stress), we are able to open our hearts fully. Chanting liberates us from the cycle of repetitive behavior that prevents our minds to allow change to occur.

We are thrilled to be hosting this Mantra Mondays focusing on all things love and in celebration of Valentine’s Day, your ultimate joy and letting go of what no longer serves you.

Please let your friends know, and we’ll see you on Instagram and Facebook Live,
